Sonoma County's Energy Independence Program
Subject: An on-line survey regarding the impact of the availability of SCEIP financing on your business.
We need your help to collect critical data in support of SCEIP financing as an option to Sonoma County residents.
The statement released on Tuesday, July 6th, 2010, by the FHFA regarding Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, directly impacts the Sonoma County Energy Independence Program (SCEIP). As a result, SCEIP has temporarily suspended the processing of all applications and will not be accepting new applications or signing new contracts pending direction from the Board of Supervisors on July 13, 2010.
We vigorously disagreed with these directives and are working with Members of Congress, similarly impacted jurisdictions and other interested parties to urge Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Federal Home Finance Agency (“the regulators”) to modify their position. We need your help collecting data on how this directive impacts your business and the workforce in Sonoma County. Please complete the SCEIP Business Impact Survey for Contractors and Vendors by using the on-line survey tool at this link:

We are committed to safeguarding and growing SCEIP and will continue our endeavors toward a positive resolution that will allow SCEIP to again offer financing to all segments of the community. Please visit our website at www.sonomacountyenergy.org for up-to-date information.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Liz Yager Program Manager Sonoma County Energy Independence Program 707-521-6200
