Solar Sonoma County memberships consist of local governments, nonprofits, solar vendors and local businesses and individuals.

Annual Membership Levels for Non-Government Members

Individuals

These are supporting members who join to support our efforts and be part of the movement. They will be added to our email list to be apprised of our activities and help form our volunteer base. They will be invited to all events and to participate on subcommittees. Our first 100 members will be listed on the web site as Charter Members. ($100 members will receive a coupon for $200 off their solar PV installation from a participating SSC vendor and an SSC sign to display.)

Nonprofit Organizations

These are membership categories for nonprofit organizations that would like to join SSC and support our goals. We offer three levels of paid membership and one affiliate designation at no charge. All will be acknowledged on our web site with higher level members’ logos displayed more prominently and higher on the page.

The affiliate designation is for organizations that would like to partner with SSC but cannot afford paid membership. SSC and affiliate nonprofits agree to exchange table space at our respective events, collaborate on projects, and support each other’s missions in various ways to be identified.

Memberships:

Megawatt - $250
Kilowatt - $100

Businesses and organizations

Businesses and organizations that support our activities and also gain visibility. They are recognized on our web site – with three different pages: one for solar companies, one for efficiency companies, one for other businesses and organizations. Higher levels will be acknowledged at the top of the page, larger and with logos. Eligible to have table/booth at our events and to be mentioned in media releases. They can send a representative to the Working Group, and display the SSC logo proudly on their web sites and other marketing materials.

Please note that a free table is NOT included for the Solar Fair.

Note: Member solar vendors agree to allow SSC’s DOE Tiger Team to conduct random technical inspections to uphold quality standards as a means of adding value and credibility to SSC membership.

Megawatt - $500 – Web site listing, table at community events, link on web site. (NOTE: free table is NOT included for the Solar Fair which is a separate self-funded event.)

Gigawatt - $1,000 – Web site with logo and link, brochure listing, free table and banner at community events. (NOTE: free table is NOT included for the Solar Fair which is a separate self-funded event.)

Terawatt - $2,000 – Prominent listing at top of web page with link and brochure listing with larger logo, free table and your banner at community events. (NOTE: free table is NOT included for the Solar Fair which is a separate self-funded event.)

These are our most visible sponsors. Their logos are featured along the right border of our web site home page and this page, and will be included in our brochure. They can display banners at our events and will be prominent on our printed materials. They can send a rep to the working group if desired, and display the SSC logo proudly on their web sites and other marketing materials.
